Welcome all newbies! I just got back last night from visiting my JW mom and sister. They know I left the org. Never once did they ask why. In fact they didnt inquire once about why I left. I did however over hear my mom asking my Ministerial Servant brother-in-law about something from the July 15th watchtower. She said many in the hall think it means one thing. I think it had to do when the great tribulation starts? My BIL said no it means this. If a lot of people are confused or misunderstanding the "new light" then I'm sure we are about to see a great influx of "newbies." I bit my tongue, but wanted to say "Don't worry mom, it will change again in a few more years."

I made a huge mistake

its been a tough 6 months for my jw hubby and myself.

next saturday is our anniversary.

i wasn't sure we would make it with the turbulance of the last 6 months.

Great effort. Your right! You did make a huge mistake.... you married a JW.

I'm taking the cross and chain back.

Why? Explain to him you have your faith and he has his. Between that and not getting you a gift i'd say seriously consider moving on.

The Elders have been demoted to Dukes

according to the november wt study article, there a study lesson about 7 shepherds, and 8 dukes.

the interesting thing is par 17. it instructs the elders to not question the instrutions they receive during an modern day asyrian attack.

17 Elders, you can learn some helpful lessons from what we have just discussed: (1) The best thing you can do to prepare for the future attack of “the Assyrian” is to strengthen your faith in God and help your brothers to do the same. (2) When “the Assyrian” attacks, you must be completely convinced that Jehovah will save us. (3) At that time, the direction that you receive from Jehovah’s organization may seem strange or unusual. Defiantly a weird article. Obey!!! I get a creepy Jim Jones vibe. But I think LostGeneration is right : they are just too big of an entity to do something like that.

How do I get them to stop houding me?

i stopped attending all meetings this summer.

i prefer not to be dfed or to da myself.

i just want to be inactive.

The most effective way I know of is to move, change your number and ignore emails. One the extreme side, you may be able to file a restraining order? If your going to do anything considered apostasy, don’t get caught. I haven’t moved and plan on putting up Christmas lights and tree in window this year. Someone in my old cong is always in the neighborhood it seems. I haven’t been df’d or da’d but from hearing other’s stories, I know it’s a possibility. Mrs. Dazed thinks their too lazy here to care but we shall see.
